Back To Work

on the tail end of holiday cards! I can't believe Christmas is only two weeks away. That just means I have only one more week of selling. It's funny how when you start the season it seems like it will last forever and then---bam---it's over!

My sister and her daughter went home last night to NY. I hope they had a good flight. The weather was getting bad, but I think it held off for their flight. We had such a fun time together. They got to spend lots of time with the boys and Madelyn as well. Shopping and eating, of course, where a big part of the trip. We still have the rental twin beds for a few more days. Madelyn is spending the weekend with us and she's picked out which bed she wants to sleep in already.

 

 

Just a few more cards made this season. I have enjoyed turning my coffee cup stamp into a cheery mug of holiday cheer!

Eat & Eat, & Eat Some More

Why is it that when you have company everything happens around meals? I don't know about your family, but mine is all about the eating! Larry just came over to take my sister & Erica to breakfast. Then they'll pick up Evan so they can go to Ft Worth and have lunch over there. After that they check in at the hotel and plan where to have dinner! See where this going? Besides my waist!

We did get to the Dillard's outlet on Saturday. WOW what bargains they had. Clare got some really great deals on sweaters for her sons and Erica got beautiful black dress. We did the Sam Moon thing too. It's a big fun, busy wholesale jewelry place. They also carry handbags and headbands and stuff like that. Clare has now borrowed two duffel bags to go home with!

 

Miss Sophie, the dancer girl! She's ready to do the Nutcracker this season! SU papers and Cuttlebug dot folder.

I have more cards to share, but they'll have to wait until I have some pictures of them. I'm  a bit on the lazy side today! Have a great day and hugs to you all!

Now that I got some business out of the way, I can share! That said, I'm beginning to wonder if anybody out there in blog land is reading my blog. Hello World---Are you Out there? Of course, you all must be too busy to just stop and say hi. Yea, that's it! No really, I understand. I used to read ALOT of blogs myself and so I really do understand, but I GAVE out blog candy and I could still get you to say a word! Oh well, as they say, your lost!

Clare and Erica came in last night. Evan picked them up and drove them to my house. My oh my, do my sister and I look alike these days. I think she looks more like Mom then I do, but you can sure tell we're sisters! It's funny how you always say that you're not going to be like this person or that when you grow up, but then you become that grown up. What gives with that?!~!

I have more sharing of cards I've made this week. I've been a busy girl.

I'm getting ready for my sister and her daughter's visit tomorrow. They don't get in until around 11 PM, but that's ok. Can't wait to see them both! I rented beds again, so they'll be there tomorrow afternoon. I still haven't cleaned up my mess in the living room. How can a girl work and clean? I've been busy stamping up a storm. Ok, maybe just a small one. I can't seem to get in the swing of things. Barry is still working at WM and that's working out ok, but today I heard from another one of our neighbors who was laid off yesterday. I'd like to lay off some bill collectors myself! I think that's what is getting me down this year more then anything. In 38 years of marriage, I've never seen a holiday look so bare! I used to be able to save my ebay money and use it for something fun. Like a few days away or something special. Now it's for bills or more importantly, food! There is a good saying I like to think of. ...And this too will pass.

New Brakes & Blog Candy

I'm such a lucky girl today. Barry is off getting new brakes on his car! I thinking this is going to be his present of the year!! I hope I got your attention with the BLOG CANDY title. I have some I'd like to share. I have a fun stamp set from Hero Arts I've never opened and thought maybe someone could use it!

 

It's a set of three background stamps, still in the wrapper they came in! Just leave a comment about what you're up to and I'll have a drawing on Thursday night! Simple stuff!!

I was busy again yesterday making more cards to sell. Thankfully they are selling this week on ebay. I do wish they were selling for more, but hey, in this upside down world, I'm just glad they are selling!
