Long Days Ahead

Boy oh Boy was yesterday a long one! We spend many hours at the hospital getting ready for Barry's surgery next week, but we're finally done! The reality I think, finally hit Barry. Things may not be all well with the world. It's hard, but I am really trying to help keep his spirits up and mine too. We have our Granddaughter Madelyn for the day tomorrow. Dance class at 10, then lunch and shopping. Even at almost 4, she is good at the shopping thing! A real princess. I got an email from her mom last night about helping design her 4th birthday invites. It called The Princess and The Pirates! I'll have to work on something!

I wanted to share a card today that I did this past week. It's just so fun and springy looking. It's made using Gina K and a Micheal's $ stamp. The Gina K stamps are just so darn cute. Nice clean lines to everything. I used some scraps from the newest lines of paper from My Mind's Eye! You've got to have them all.

Up & Around Early

Well, today is the day we go for Barry's pre-opt stuff. It's a scary day for us and it brings the reality of it home. I'm an eary morning person anyway, but today I've already had several cuppa's and been busy in my happy room lost in my work. Just one more week to go until the sugery, so I guess that's starting to weigh heavy on my heart. Thank goodness we have a wonderful network of friends and family to stand by us right now. We are so blessed in that way.

Friday will be my dear husband Barry's last day of work for who knows how long. He is having bladder cancer surgery next week and will be out for 2-3 months. Since he is a contractor, we don't know where or when he'll be back working, but we have friends and family keeping good thoughts and saying a prayer for us, so how can that not help!

They are having a Good Bye luncheon for him today and he wanted a thank you card, so this is my card. I used a wonderful, but mostly forgotten set of stamps from SU called Watercolor Garden for the flowers. The card is a 5x5. I love making this size since it gives me a little more room for the extra stuff!
